Engine-driven generators are seldom seen, but they are everywhere -- hospitals, data centers, cell towers, high-rise buildings, satellite tracking stations and airports.
Standby and emergency gensets are utilized during a loss of commercial electric power that could potentially disrupt a critical process or endanger the safety of people. According to the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 110, the Emergency Power Supply (EPS) shall be heated as necessary to maintain the water jacket and battery temperature. Hotstart® engine heaters ensure that Type 10 Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS) meet designated power restoration requirements outlined by NFPA 110. This designation requires the genset to meet capacity and carry the load within 10 seconds after loss of primary power.
HOTSTART works closely with generator set manufacturers and packagers. We will custom-design any of our heating products to meet the needs of the OEM. HOTSTART coolant and lube oil pre-heaters meet requirements for installation on any UL 2200 listed generator set.
Besides engine and oil heaters, HOTSTART manufactures custom harnesses, battery heating pads & wraps, control systems and complete turn-key systems for the generator OEM.
