HOTSTART, Inc introduces the HOTflow™ series of engine heaters. HOTflow™ heaters reduce maintenance and energy costs for 15L-100L displacement engines.
The HOTflow™ engine heater features an integrated pump that circulates warm coolant throughout the entire engine at uniform temperatures. Constant circulation of the coolant eliminates hotspots that can deteriorate heater hoses, harm engine seals and diminish coolant life. HOTflow™ heaters rely on fewer heating cycles - saving up to 2000 kilowatt-hours per year in energy consumption while extending heater element life and reducing maintenance work. Ken Loetacher, Assistant Director of Facilities Management at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lewiston, ID replaced his thermosiphon heaters with HOTflow™ heaters on the hospital's standby generator sets. "An engine heating unit failure caused a disastrous loss of generator power in our ER and OR. To fix the problem, we installed HOTflow™ heaters. HOTSTART's reliability gives us peace of mind and saves us a lot of money on maintenance and operation costs. I wish HOTSTART heaters were standard equipment on all gensets," stated Loetacher.
HOTflow™ engine heaters are available in multiple kW ratings, ranging from 1kW - 12kW. The product line features a fixed thermostat (100°-120°F/38°-49°C) and is UL Listed and CE compliant. Equipping engines with HOTflow™ heaters ensures that gensets are warmed-up and ready-to-go during power failures. Reliable engine heating is critical in health care and commercial facilities, data centers and the telecommunication industry.
