Senior Accountant

As a world leader in thermal management solutions, we are building on this momentum and seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Spokane, Washington. This is a growth opportunity for someone ready to take ownership of daily and monthly accounting operations and play a key role in the continued success of an expanding global manufacturer. The ideal candidate is a positive, team-oriented professional who is eager to learn, adapt, and help improve processes and workflows in a collaborative environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the company’s day-to-day and month-to-month accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Support AP and AR teams during onboarding, then assume direct leadership of both functions, including training and development
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and related reports for the global accounting group
- Work with external auditors on all audits and reviews
- Maintain accuracy of accounting systems and implement/support process improvements
- Manage all intercompany and related party accounting, including transfer pricing
- Develop and implement internal controls across the organization
- Prepare and file state and local tax returns
- Assist in budget preparation
- Research technical accounting topics and document/report conclusions to staff and organization
- Promote a team environment while ensuring department objectives and deadlines are met
Qualifications:
- Analytical: Able to utilize excel or other software to synthesize complex or diverse information and present their decisions or analysis regarding the data
- Judgement: Displays a willingness to make timely decisions and can present support and explanations for their decisions
- Professionalism: Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Accepts responsibility for their actions and follows through on commitments. Represents Hotstart in all actions and conduct as an ambassador in the city and industry
- Education/Experience: CPA certification preferred. Candidates actively pursuing CPA certification will be considered. 2-4 years of experience required
