Hotstart and Dish Network - Proven Energy Efficient Heating

Beginning in early 2025, Daniel Race, Dish Network’s facilities manager for their Spokane Uplink center partnered with Hotstart to reduce electrical costs by upgrading to air-source heat pumps heating systems. While heat pumps are an efficient solution for other industries, utilizing them to heat backup generators was largely unproven.

Led by Hotstart’s own Jason Cook, technicians installed high-efficiency heating systems and recorded the results in real time. Once the data was in-hand, it was clear that systems like these represented a huge leap forward in generator heating efficiency.

With their eye for using visuals and dialogue to tell a deeper story and bring this project to life, Ink the Story’s KJ and Jade filmed on-site at Dish’s facility and Hotstart’s manufacturing plant to go beyond the numbers and reveal what can be accomplished when we meet challenges with innovation and dedication.
