HOTSTART Receives IECEx Certification for Hazardous Location Heating Systems

Jul 29, 2019

Spokane, Wash. July 29, 2019 – HOTSTART was recently granted IECEx Certification for their hazardous location heating systems used in international gas compression operations. Models OLA, CLA, OCLA, OSA and CSA are now certified for Class 1 Zone 1 Group IIA T3 installations.

HOTSTART’s hazardous location heating systems are designed to maintain optimal gas compressor, engine, and equipment lubricant temperatures in all weather conditions, eliminating damaging condensation and other starting issues, reducing overall maintenance for operators worldwide.

“This certification will make it easier to provide our international customers the best heating systems for their operations,” said Pat Norwood, Sales Director – Oil & Gas. “The IECEx certification signals to customers that these systems comply with the electrical requirements of their locations, eliminating the need for costly compliance assessments by the local authority having jurisdiction.”

IECEx certified systems are available for small and large engine and compressor configurations in a range of voltages and heat output. To learn more, contact the HOTSTART Oil and Gas sales office at oil.gas@hotstart.com.
