Manufacturing Engineer
Hotstart Thermal Management has an opening at our headquarters in Spokane, WA for a Manufacturing Engineer to support our growth of thermal management solutions. This position will work closely with production support and engineering design teams to better serve our internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve production systems; design and implement new equipment, processes, and procedures.
- Identify areas where costs can be reduced and find ways to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure product quality, as well as assist in conducting root-cause analysis and resolve product non-conformance
- Manage projects from start to finish, including creating project plans, coordinating resources, tracking progress, and reporting results to management
- Provide technical support to production teams and help troubleshoot issues that arise
- Ensure manufacturing processes are safe and compliant
- Develop and implement failure mode and effects analysis processes (FMEAs)
- Create work instructions to support manufacturing of products
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to teach
- Knowledge of general engineering, including understanding design specifications, reading drawings, schematics, BOM’s
- Solid Modeling and Drafting experience desired
- Ability to work well under compressed time constraints and multi-task
- Ability to work productively within a team setting or independently
- Knowledge of manufacturing practices, including assembly line setup, tooling, and equipment acquisition and development
